What to read & watch - Get to know the Modeling Industry (PART 1 - BOOKS)

Greetings dearest readers!
A tip I always give to people who want to be models is do your research. If you're one of them and you are here, congratulations! You are on the right track.

Now, whats better than reading (or watching) what really happens in the modeling world?
I have gathered a very informative list of books, movies/documentaries & series that will help you and give you some better insight of the modeling industry.
Since this post would have been too long I have divided it into two or three parts (i'm still not sure how many I'll need)

PART 1
Books
1. Model: A Memoir by Cheryl Diamond
This is a book written by a former model. It's more like a diary (without the "dear diary" part though) following Cheryl on her journey in the modeling world. Although the writing style isn't the best, the book will be interesting for those who want to become a model or are interested in modeling.
You can buy it on Amazon.

2. Model: The Ugly Business of Beautiful Women by Michael Gross
Very very useful book from a person who really knows the business. In my opinion everyone who really wants to know the real side of the industry should read it
You can (and should) buy it on Amazon.

 3. Strutting It! by Jeanne Beker
A little bit similar to #2, this book offers a story about the inside of the modeling industry.
You can buy it on Amazon

4. Model Student: A Tale of Co-eds and Cover Girls by Robin Hazelwood
A story of a model girl who is also a student at Columbia University. A good read also written by a former model.

You can buy it on Amazon.

5. This Year's Model by Carol Alt
Similar to #4 & #1, written in first person this is a book about a waitress that is discovered by a photographer who happens to dine in the restaurant she works in. I really liked it.
You can buy it on Amazon

6. A Model Summer by Paulina Porizkova
Written by a famous model who was actually well-known, it's a great story.
Go buy it on Amazon

7. Model, Incorporated by Carol Alt
Although I didn't read it, it's by the same author as #5. I think it's #5's sequel
Buy it on Amazon

8. Violet On The Runway by Melissa Walker
This is actually a trilogy that I haven't read (yet)
It seems pretty interesting though.
Buy the first book here
Then the one second here
And the one third on here

9.  Hungry: A Model's Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves by Crystal Renn
A story about a model who was anorexic and starting eating (and eating). Shows how much pressure the industry has on girls to lose weight.
You can buy it on Amazon

 10. Bad And Beautiful: Inside the Dazzling and Deadly World of Supermodels by Ian Halperin
I haven't read this one either, but it seem pretty truthful.
You can buy it on Amazon

And if you're too lazy to read, there's another list of movies (and TV shows!) coming up.

P.S.
